TEFL Training for Native and Near-Native Speakers of English
There are many different teacher training programmes on the market, from online courses to full-time MA qualifications, so it can be difficult to decide which course is best for you. If you are looking to take an initial teaching training course, St Giles recommends two courses: the Cambridge CELTA and the Trinity Cert. TESOL.
Both certificates are internationally recognised qualifications, which can help you to find a good teaching job with an accredited centre. (In England, Wales and Northern Ireland both the TESOL and CELTA are recognised as being at Level Five of the National Qualifications Framework.
